Audit Your Profile

Audit Your Profile

This article is to help you ensure that your specialties and groups are correct and up to date.

SLCFD uses specialties and groups to qualify or disqualify a firefighter to work in specific seats with those requirements.
Some of the specialties are Special Event Team, Engineer, HRT, Redcard.
Some groups include Wildland Deployment Group, Wildland Upstaff, Committees, and Do Not Call preferences.

To audit your profile in Telestaff:

Go to My Info

Click Profiles

Your specialties and groups are listed here

Yes, but not in Assignment may be checked which will place an asterisk (*) next to that specialty or group shortcode on the roster. Some specialties and groups are not listed (Plan A/B, Committees, Wildland Deployment group, etc.).
Example - Cody has a bid in a HazMat spot (no asterisk). He does not have a bid spot as an investigator and SLCFD does not have bid positions for PEER support specialists or redcards (WRC) but he does hold these specialties (*). Also, the roster does not display that he is in the WILDLAND DEPLOYMENT GROUP.

Occasionally, these can be wrong, and it is up to each firefighter to ensure the accuracy of their profile. The telestaff group can fix the profiles when they are found to be in error.  When an error is found, please email telestaff@slc.gov requesting the change.
